Dr. Seuss

"Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple."

"I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!"

"Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope."

"Adults are just obsolete children and the hell with them."

"And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more. "

"So the writer who breeds more words than he needs, is making a chore for the reader who reads."

  1. "So the writer who breeds more words than he needs, is making a chore for the reader who reads."

    Too true.

I prefer to think of children, on the otehr hand, as a separate species, not unlike women. :)
